Santa Barbara, CA – December 6, 2024, 5-8 pm – The Funk Zone Live team of business owners invites the Santa Barbara community to embrace the holiday spirit on December 6th at our seasonal celebration, just in time to shop local and support talented artists and artisans!
This event will feature a special art installation by celebrated local artist Brad Knack. His whimsical piece, Fresh Reindeer, will be displayed in the window for the season, and Knack himself will be set up on the patio to share additional works and engage with guests at SBMidMod on 223 Anacapa Street.
Adding to the vibrant art scene, the Riviera Beach House on 121 State Street, will showcase cyanotype artwork by local artist Hýong Ngô, presented in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara.
“Funk Zone Live 2024 was envisioned to bring the local community into local businesses during quieter months,” says Jana Brody, Funk Zone Live Coordinator, artist, and SB Arts Commissioner. “We skipped June for Solstice and August for Fiesta, allowing 25 local businesses to band together for unique artsy shopping experiences with music, food, and drinks.”
By staying open late, businesses invite locals and visitors alike to enjoy the creative charm of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone after hours.
